Get hands-on with you mix thanks to Numark Party Mix Live’s large, high-quality, touch-sensitive jog wheels: Pause, backspin, and even scratch your tracks as you work your way through your playlist. A large Filter knob for each deck is great for spicing up your mix and creating the perfect transition between tracks plus, the software-adjustable crossfader allows for everything from smooth fades for mixes or sharp cuts for scratches. Alternatively you can also turn off the motorized platters on your Numark hardware, which will enable you to use the Smart Sync option. As a work around we suggest using the ‘simple sync’ option within the Serato DJ Setup screen under the DJ Preferences tab.
This is because of the variable speeds of the Numark motorized platters which cause the fluctuation of the track BPM. Play, Cue and Sync buttons give you complete playback control and quick access to automatic tempo matching between tracks on each deck for perfectly aligned mixes. When the motorised platters are turned on (or in use), the Serato DJ Smart Sync feature does not work correctly. Four performance pads on each deck allow quick access to effects, cue points, loops, or samples. Please note: Traxsource is proud to offer many unique, artists and labels. Sometimes you may have to manually edit your tracks within these programs - so the beat is locked to the tempo or “grid” in that specific Digital DJ software - this also helps greatly with playback while in the 'Sync' mode in Traktor or Rekord Box, for example. However, not all Serato products are in the clear. Once you import a WAV, AIFF, or MP3 into these programs, it analyzes and creates its own Cue points and Beat Grids (for example) as this information is never originally contained within the master file, like the ones you've purchased with us on Traxsource. Along with updating its DJ software, Serato has also released a new version of its beat-making software Serato Studio that’s supported in Catalina. Traktor, Serato, and Rekord Box utilize ID tags emended in the master file which allows information such as the title, artist, and album names to be read within the software. Especially if the specific track is busy in arrangement, has live elements, enhanced swing, or maybe simply an older production - which may have been first recorded from tape/vinyl, etc. Digital DJ software like Rekord Box, Traktor, and Serato use their own algorithms to analyze tracks within the program and are not going to analyze your music perfectly, all the time.
